A Happy Camper

I haven't gone camping in, well, I can't even remember the last time, it's been so long. I always loved it when we did though, good times. In April we took a road trip that consisted of back-to-back nine-hour driving days with a hotel stay in between. No more tents for me. I don't think I can do those long driving days anymore either. I max out at about six hours of driving now, but I still prefer driving over flying. Flying is miserable anymore, the thought of it makes me very unhappy.

I'm very happy now, however, to be the recipient of one of the packages Rod of Padrographs sent out recently.

Rod plugged a lot of gaps I had in some recent Angels team sets.
Thanks for thinking of me Rod!

Here are the cards from a TCDB Trade with azdbacks252003

I'm happy Kellen was nice enough to send these as replacements as the first PWE is lost in the mail.
That's only the second time in 600+ transactions that the cards were lost.
If the PWE ever shows up, I'll certainly send some cards in return.
Nice to get some Angels autographs too.

How about you, do/did you enjoy camping?

  1. I haven't been camping in decades. I loved it, but not sure it would be all that fun for me these days with my back and lack of ability to do all the "fun" stuff I did back then.

  2. a. The last time I camped in a tent was the summer after I started working at the school I'm at right now. That was seventeen years ago. We had a lot of fun. Still work with a few of those teachers, but none of us are single anymore. Guess that's why we never went camping again :D

    b. I can't stand flying. I'll do it if the drive is over eight hours.

    c. Great stuff from Rod. Still sitting on some stuff he sent last month. Just need to wrap up a few other thank you posts before opening them up.

    d. My brother who was the one who introduced me to camping when I was a little kid has converted to RV camping. He invites me all the time, but I'm not really interested. Maybe one day I'll take him up on his offer. Until then... camping is sleeping in a tent. Just not sure if my back will appreciate it (even with a Therm-a-Rest).

  3. Nice new cards! The 76 Heritage cards look really nice; and that Stadium Club for Dana looks sweet: awesome photograph. I camped twice in college. Never ever again. Trying to sleep with a very bad sunburn, two other campers from somewhere else decided to get frisky outside of our tent. Someone yelled at them, "Hey, y'all can't do that there. That's someone's tent." Ick!
